In this video tutorial, producer Joshua Casper shows you a cool trick on how to get professional level delay lines on your vocals using D16 Group’s Repeater VST plugin.
The big trick here is to use the Repeater, or any delay, on a return track so you can manipulate the delay lines with further processing via VSTs and Plugins without messing with the original source signal. To get clearer vocals, while still having delays, simply sidechain the delay lines to the vocal itself.
This will push the delay lines to the back while the vocal is happening and let them come to the front when the vocal is gone.
The Delay is the ultimate creative tool for adding space, depth, and excitement to music.
There have been many incredible delay units created over the past 70 years, from tape delays to oil cans to modern digital circuits. So when D16 Group and our friends!
